WeatherBug Direct Settings

Any of your WeatherBug Direct settings can be edited from the WeatherBug Direct Settings Menu

1. Select the "Options" icon from the homescreen (sometimes this icon is contained in the settings menu)
2. Select "WeatherBug Settings" from the list

1. Enter your zipcode, city,state, or city,country into the location input field
2. Click the "Search" Button
3. Select desired city from the city list
4. Select desired station from the station list
5. Select "Save" from the screen menu

Advanced Settings

Using advanced settings the user can configure the number of updates their BlackBerry receives from the WeatherBug servers.
By default alert and temperature data is updated every 30 minutes and forecast data is update every 2 hours.
To change the number of updates:

1. Goto WeatherBug Direct Settings
2. Select "Advanced Settings" from the screen menu
3. Highlight the current update time for the data you would like to change
4. Press the alt key to see the possible options

Remove WeatherBug Direct

1. Select the "Options" icon from the homescreen (sometimes this icon is contained in the settings menu).
2. Select "Advanced Options" from the list.
3. Select "Applications" from the list.
4. Select "WeatherBug Direct" from the list.
5. Choose "Delete" from the menu.
6. Choose "Delete" from the menu again.
7. Choose "Yes" when the device asks to be restarted.

Updated to version 0.9.6.3 and forecast no longer displays

The default installation package has changed. It is therefore necessary to install the forecast extension through the WeatherBug Portal for it to link correctly with the application.

To remove the old forecast extension

1. Select the "Options" icon from the homescreen (sometimes this icon is contained in the settings menu).
2. Select "Advanced Options" from the list.
3. Select "Applications" from the list.
4. Choose "Modules" from the menu.
5. Scroll to the bottom of the list and highlight wb_direct_forecast.
6. Choose "Delete" from the menu.

To add the new forecast extension

1. Select the "Options" icon from the homescreen (sometimes this icon is contained in the settings menu).
2. Select "WeatherBug Settings" from the list.
3. Choose "WeatherBug Portal" from the menu.
4. Select "WeatherBug Extensions" from the list.
5. Highlight WeatherBug Forecast from the list.
6. Choose "Details" from the menu.
7. Once the page loads. Choose "Install" from the menu.
